The Grenadines are far less developed than the Northern Caribbean, with life moving at a distinctively slower pace. Instead of seeing resort hotels along the island shores, you will instead discover colorful watering holes, family-owned shops, and the occasional farmer’s market. This region is also home to the Tobago Cays, an undeveloped preserve full of crystal-clear waters, sandy beaches, and sea turtles.
This 8-day itinerary lets you see the whole of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, plus the island of Grenada.

Begin your charter after transferring from the airport on St. Vincent and set off for Bequia, where Port Elizabeth welcomes you with shops, restaurants, and island flair. Spend the day meandering around town, take a tour to the top of Mouth Pleasant for a view of the surrounding islands, or visit the turtle sanctuary that has protected hawksbills since 1995.
Mustique is a private island with about 100 villas used regularly by celebrities who cautiously guard their privacy. A handful of luxury shops and restaurants are onshore, including the Firefly, where the martini menu is as legendary as the harbor view. Leave a few hours for sipping a Full Mosquito (made with cranberry and lime juice) with a view of your charter yacht at sunset.
The Tobago Cays are a water-lover’s paradise, with aquamarine blues and greens stretching as far as your charter yacht’s binoculars allow you to see. Swimming and snorkeling are favorite pastimes here, with sea turtles favoring several of the local reefs. When the sun goes down, go ashore for a beach barbecue of freshly caught lobster and twice-baked potatoes.
Mayreau is the smallest inhabited island in the Grenadines, and its Old Wall Village is accessible only by boat. Saltwhistle Bay boasts a long, white sand beach inside a well protected harbor, making it a comfortable place for your yacht to anchor while yoshells, and just plain relax.
Petit St. Vincent offers the same type of relaxation as Mayreau, but with a different view. The hiking path to the summit is a tropical paradise filled with rubber trees, local orchids, and the smells of truly fresh air. After your walk, take a refreshing swim or snorkel right off your charter yacht’s swim platform.
Carriacou offers yet more white, sandy beaches to explore, and since there are precious few hotels on this island, the beaches are usually blissfully quiet. Snorkelers and scuba divers can find interesting sites here, while swimmers can enjoy an afternoon in the sun. Dinner will be aboard your charter yacht, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the harbor tides.
Your charter yacht may arrive on Grenada by midday, leaving you an afternoon to explore. Options include a visit to the shops and restaurants in the bustling capital of St. George’s, a tour of the working Belmont Estate cocoa plantation, or a hike through the Grand Etang Rainforest for a refreshing swim in the cool, fresh waters of St. Margaret’s Falls.
Easy transfers from St. George’s Harbor to Grenada’s airport International flights to the U.S. and Europe, or regional flights throughout the Caribbean If your flight departs in the afternoon, spend the morning relaxing aboard your charter yacht or shopping for souvenirs in St. George’s. Some great finds can include locally produced spices, rum, and chocolate, as well as wood carvings, paintings, and colorful batiks.
