Absolutely Beautiful Yacht

The boat was absolutely beautiful. The 45′ size seemed to be perfect for our needs: not so big that you could get lost, but big enough that everybody could find a spot away from each other if we wanted quiet time.

The crew was great. I cannot say more good things about Captains Courtney and Jim. Courtney’s cooking was fantastic (seriously, we’ve been talking about her mango shrimp salad with coconut lime dressing this entire week), and Jim’s drinks were sublime (and we’re picky!). They were incredibly accommodating and kind, and a ton of fun to be around considering we were stuck on a boat with them for a week.

The itinerary was great too! We went in with very little plans (a couple of preferences but nothing that we insisted on), and they did a great job letting us explore the islands while still getting plenty of time on the boat. While we had a couple of drinks or food items off the boat, we overwhelmingly decided that the food, drinks, and experience on the boat was amazing enough!

Overall, the fantastic trip we had and we will highly recommend Makin’ Memories to anybody who asks.

Really fantastic experience on Halcyon!

As you know, the crew can make or break this sort of thing. Sam is an exceptional human, a fantastic Captain, and passionate about what he does. Really enjoyed spending time with him. Lu is super fun, chill and gives the perfect “vibe”. She was there when we needed something, but not “in our face” – which can happen I imagine. Truly loved hanging with her. Might have been some signing and dancing along the way as well 🙂

Boat was in perfect working order. Clean, comfortable. We got to sail a bunch, which was super cool. I can’t think of any issues or challenges at all. We spent time all over the BVI, so in my opinion the itinerary was perfect as well. Honestly, the right balance of “action” and “non-action”. Everyone had a blast.

Food. I personally gained 7 pounds, and upon return home, when learning Lu didn’t make the trip back with us, was disappointed. I’d have to fend for myself (a good thing given the extra weight). Lu’s food was fresh, she accommodated (without pause) one of our picky crew AND made a special chocolate chip birthday cookie cake for Cella who turned 16 while on the trip. Again, she represented balance with options and fun twists (like the easter egg hunt and the birthday decorations).

We have ZERO hesitation about Sam or Lu or Halcyon. They are AWESOME.

Water Taxi was great as well – good folks (Tk and Harris, along with Nick of course). Shelby (road taxi) is a gem, loved her personality.

Our experience (first timers) more than exceeded our expectations.

What a beautiful week! We Cannot thank you enough Capt. Mark, Catlin and Alyssa for all you did – memories created for a lifetime.

The ties that bind our group, one of friendship and lifes ups and downs was highlighted by great food, wonderful excursions, thoughtful conversations and lots of laughs. You all created the atmosphere to enjoy and create the lasting memories. So grateful for new friendships.

This amazing, relaxing, restoration trip has been made extra special by you – the crew! We enjoyed every moment, the food, the workings of the yacht, Marks seamanship with nimble Caitlin always at the ready and Alysa’s wonderful meals. Thank you for all the pampering and making us part of your family. Be well and happy we will think of you often!

The best way to experience the BVI

Thank you for the awesome week! The best way to experience the BVI was a trip with the two of you. You make a great team. Smooth sailing, amazing weather and a week of total relaxation. And the food…best food and drinks on the Islands are served on G3. We hope to talk another journey with you and look forward seeing you again.

Thank you for an amazing trip! We did this last year so we had some experience and high expectations. Nicole and Tom greatly exceeded all of them! Some of the amazing highlights were “the swing”, tubing, snorkeling spots and the food was amazing. Thank you both we will see you again soon!

Highly Recommend Sun Goddess Yacht Charter to the BVIs

I had the pleasure of sailing on Sun Goddess for 6 nights in early Feb 2026. My group was 6 women who have traveled often together. We celebrated a 60th and 37th birthday. The ‘youngster’ is a daughter and we love that she wants to travel with us. Sun Goddess was a lovely boat and we were in good hands with Captains Kevin and Cheryl. The boat was so clean, and they did a great job preparing for our stay. Speaking with Cheryl ahead of the trip gave us a great chance to discuss food and drink offerings. Cheryl prepared delicious meals for our group and everyone was very happy. She is a magician preparing 3 meals a day in a very small kitchen. Her food was simple but fresh and tasty with great variety. She was also able to guide us in the best way on transportation to and from the boat. We used Island Time water taxi from Red Hook, St Thomas and at Cheryl’s suggestion we met the boat at Jost Van Dyke instead of Tortola. Loved it and we were able to get started on our adventure right away.

One of the reasons we chose Sun Goddess was for the flybridge to offer shade if needed and in our case, it offered extra space for an unexpected rain day. We made the most of the day and the crew planned ahead of the incoming weather and moored us in a great cove at Norman Island for optimal protection from the storm. We were very happy with their guidance and made the most of a rainy day

Kevin did a great job of taking care of us girls while on board, shuttling us to each island and spotting great things while out in the sea. We rented a truck on Anegada and Kevin came along to be our tour guide and driver. Kevin and Cheryl are a great team and planned a great trip for us. We couldn’t be happier with our time on Sun Goddess. Our group only had dinner out one night and it was delicious. We went to the Wonky Dog on Anegada for fresh grilled lobster. It was so good! Overall I would highly recommend Sun Goddess with Kevin and Cheryl for a fantastic visit to the BVI.
