Thanasis has graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy and he has always been keen to pursue a career near the sea. At first, he has been working as a Captain in tankers, yet in 2018, he entered into yachting with great excitement. Thanasis looks forward to welcoming onboard the guests and offer them an unforgettable cruising experience, visiting paradise beaches and exploring secret spots. As the Captain of White Pearl, he will ensure that all operations run smoothly, while his positivity and passion for his job will take the charters one level up. In his spare time, Thanasis enjoys exercising and watching movies. Speaks Greek, English and Spanish (basic).

Name: Dimitris Balkouras
Position: Chef

Description:

Dimitris is 39 years old and he has attended two different culinary schools. He has worked as a Sous Chef and Chef in many prestigious restaurants located in Athens, Crete, Rhodes and in Kentucky! Dimitris has a wide knowledge of the Greek cuisine and he always prepares the freshest and most delicious meals for his guests. He likes combining tradition with authenticity and style and he cannot wait to welcome the guests onboard and apply his professionalism and skills. When Dimitris is out of his galley, he likes going to the theatre and preparing his next trip to broaden his knowledge. Speaks Greek and English.

Position: Stewardess

Description:

Sofia has graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has recently joined yachting with great passion for her job. She will guarantee that the guests will be warmly welcome onboard and she will be responsible for their service during their charter. Sofia has a genuine smile and a kind personality. When not working, she enjoys painting and travelling. Speaks Greek, English, Russian and Polish.

Name: Nikos Koutelis
Position: Steward/Deckhand

Description:

Nikos is 35 years old and since his young age, he had the sense that the sea was his home. His parents were from Greek islands and his grandfathers were Captain and fisherman. After obtaining his degree in Telecommunications and Systems Engineering, he started working in this sector, then had a turn in his path and worked in a shipyard until he decided that yachting was a challenging career opportunity and decided to make the next step. He is a patient and hard working person who will guarantee a safe cruise onboard White Pearl. Always with a smile and positive energy, Nikos will amuse the guests and take care of their needs. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain skiing, sailing and fishing. Speaks Greek, English and Italian (basic).

Position: Deckhand

Description:

Konstantinos was born in 1993 and he has worked in various positions until joining yachting in 2019. He is a highly reliable person, willing to work hard and ready to adjust in different circumstances. Konstantinos will assist the guests with their daily needs, and he has a wide knowledge of the procedures for the yacht’s maintenance. When not working, he likes swimming and fishing. Speaks Greek and English.
