The boat, the dive sites, drinks, dishes you just can’t beat seeing the Virgin islands this way and you can’t see it all in such a short period of time…. Soo we will have to come back soon. We had a fantastic time being with our friends and our gracious hosts. Wonderful meals (including crusty breads) that we consumed with abandon. Favorites were: Schnitzel, homemade pasta, pizza and cheesecake. Franz planned an exciting itinerary with stops at the best snorkeling and swimming sites – lovely harbors for overnight. Diane set a beautiful table for every meal and kept us laughing. It was a most relaxing, interesting and fun-filled vacation.

We are so lucky to be here. You have been the most wonderful hosts! Though at home Washington, DC had the two biggest snow storms in well over 100 years. We quickly forgot those problems with the good snorkeling sites, the “over the top” great food. Every meal was as delicious an adventure as the islands and beaches we visited! We will be back!! We came home two days ago from the Virgin Islands after the best family holiday we have ever had. On Sunday afternoon Solitude dropped us off right at the dock in front of Bolongo Bay Resort in St. Thomas where we spent the last night, and as we watched them sail away, we were all sad that it was over.

Glenn and Christina really went out of their way to ensure that we enjoy our sailing holiday. Glenn is an excellent captain, cool, calm, collected and cautious. At the same time he is fun to be with, kind, friendly and pleasant. My two sons bombarded him with questions about sailing, the, islands, etc, etc. He listened to them, and answered all their questions patiently. We felt so safe, and we could see that Glenn knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to handling that boat. He certainly is very professional and very competent. He taught our boys a few lessons on sailing which they really enjoyed. He and Christina also work well together when she needs to help him anchor, moor or change the sails. It was a pleasure to watch them. The food that came out of that kitchen was just so good every time. Christina worked very hard to provide these delicious meals, snacks and appetizers out of that kitchen. She obviously takes great pride in what she does, and believes in making everything from scratch with fresh ingredients. How she does it, and where she keeps all the stuff , is a mystery to us. We just sat back and enjoyed being spoiled by them, gracious hosts that they were.

This was our first sailing experience ever. We consider ourselves really fortunate and privileged to have sailed on Solitude. It was a wonderful, relaxing holiday for us and our three adult children. They took us to Jost van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Tortola, Norman Island and St. John. All the little restaurants and bars were so quaint and cute, and we even got to meet the formidable Foxy himself.

There you have it. There is no negative about this thing, and we can recommend Solitude and her crew to anybody without any reservation. Thanks for your involvement to make this possible. it was a dream holiday, the best you can imagine. We will certainly do this again.
