The charter was really fun. Yann is a really nice guy and a really competent captain as well as a very good cook with a great personality. The boat was clean and comfortable as a boat can be. He had a nice hostess as well. No complaints, the weather was perfect, the water warm and we had no problems. Highly recommend the boat and Yann. Thanks so much

Upon retuning from our trip on Paradise, we were useless! Once aboard Paradise, it was apparent that anything and everything we needed was taken care of and/or provided. At first, it was an adjustment to receive such pampering. Our beds were made during our 3-5 course breakfast with Bernie’s double filtered coffee and Ruthie’s fresh fruit, meat and egg creations with warm fresh bread. Then we would set off on our adventure for the day, usually at places to which we had never been – even after 4 previous BVI sailing trips. On shore, taxi’s, gear and dinghy shuttling was all arranged for us in advance with German-like efficiency and with folks that Bernie and Ruthie have long standing successful relationships with. Upon our return to Paradise, dinner was in motion and was always a great culinary expedition with wine, appetizers, curry sauces, fresh ingredients and fantastic deserts. Apres dinner was a comical event including great conversation on deck with the hosts over after-dinner drinks! Sleeping onboard Paradise I can guarantee is less rocky that all the other boats because of their skill in locating the best anchor, mooring spots throughout the islands. Bernie’s knowledge of the system and how to avoid unnecessary fees saved us hundreds as opposed to when we charter our own Bareboat. Their decades of knowledge and passion for what they do is very inspirational. Getting to know Ruthie and Bernie is truly a fresh breath of air. We really treasured our time and ability for pure relaxation with Bernie and Ruthie and would highly recommend a stay onboard Paradise: we’d love to join them again in the future! Dear Chris & Kelly, My mind can’t wrap itself around the past tense. I’ve gotten so used to living in the present. The boat rocking me to sleep. The economy sized Barracuda eyeing me, Lava Cake erupting, or the near future; the second Margarita, one more great snorkel, a hike to the wide view from atop Peter Island. It was a wonderful, amazing trip start to finish – My inner workings are reset! The two of you could not have been more wonderful host.

The yacht was beautiful. Everything about the vacation was awesome, the yacht, the islands, the snorkeling was all wonderful. Bridget and Barry were great! They have lots of knowledge of all the islands and were extremely accommodating – we all were very pleased. The food was excellent – presentation and taste, it went way beyond what we expected. Kevin at Mainsail did a great job of matching us with the the crew and yacht. There was nothing more that could have been done. I would highly recommend Mainsail and AdAstra to anyone. Please use me as a reference.

The trip was great! The boat was great! the crew was great! The weather was great! Great, great, great! we enjoyed Sara Jane’s passion for food and cooking. Richard was very know ledgable and had a casual peofessionalism that suits the chartering world. They both had a fantastic sense of humor and we all enjoyed their company.

Mainsail helped us find the perfect yacht and crew for our Caribbean adventure! Thank you Kevin! If I had the funds I would go again ASAP. Next time, I will be giving you a ring to get things organized.

My family and I agreed — this was our favorite vacation ever! Kristian and Marianne were gracious hosts who insisted on spoiling us with excellent cuisine and service. Marianne dreamed up delicious meals and made sure our “non fish eater” had an alternate choice. Kristian listened to our requests and took us to beautiful beaches, dive sites, snorkeling, quiet night time harbors and main island attractions.

I was impressed by Kevin at Mainsail we had a couple of glitches prior to the charter and he handled them with priority. I was pleased that our needs were taken care of without question. I appreciate Kevin’s insight and recommendations which proved helpful for us since this was our first visit to the BVI’s. I look forward to a return visit and will use Mainsail again. Thanks for the T-shirts and koozies we did use them in the BVI.
